Multiple Myeloma 5K Run/Walk - October 16, 2005Before the sun rose on Sunday October 16/05, 125 dedicated participants donning burgundy Multiple Myeloma baseball caps & t-shirts gathered from across Toronto, Burlington, Hamilton, Kitchener, London & surrounding areas and joined forces to create a team called Moving Together Toward the Cure. They helped kick off the first annual Multiple Myeloma 5K Run/Walk as part of the Toronto Marathon to raise money for Multiple Myeloma research at the Princess Margaret Hospital in Toronto. The PMH Foundation estimated that this committed and enthusiastic Moving Together Toward the Cure team managed to raise in excess of $100,000. Congratulations and many thanks to each and every person who contributed in some way to make this "first-time event" such an outstanding success!!!
