Our Mission
The Purpose Of
The Toronto & District Multiple Myeloma Support
Group
is to explore and discuss the wide range of treatment options and
to give myeloma survivors and their loved ones the support and information
they need to live longer, stronger lives.

What is Multiple
myeloma
This is a cancer of the bone
marrow.
More specifically, it is an uncontrolled growth of plasma cells. Although
there is no known cure, there are many approaches to help myeloma patients
live better and longer. There remains much controversy about how to treat
the disease. The course of treatment is very much dependent on the
specifics of the patients physical, emotional and family situations and
the variant of myeloma involved. For more information on myeloma please
visit the websites for the
International Myeloma Foundation and the
Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
